Volunteer
Our volunteers are wonderful, dedicated people who want to contribute to the success of the Green Energy Park. Volunteers can offer their time and skills to help with such things as:
Educational Group Tours – Lead students or other visitors around our beautiful park and educate them about what we do
Gallery – Talk with folks about the artists represented & art available for sale
Office – Help with filing, phone calls, distributing flyers and more
Festivals (on and off-site) – Work with a great bunch of people to organize and manage festival activities on-site and/or share information about the GEP at local festivals off-site
Class Assistance – Assist the artist with organizing the students for a class
Kiln Firing – Meet some great folks who enjoy ceramics & help them stoke the fire for the kiln
Landscaping – Love to garden? Help us keep the park looking its best by planting and pruning
STUDENTS – Volunteer work at the GEP can be used to satisfy Community Service Requirements for school

Internships
Students, graduates, and artists of any age may apply for an internship position with JCGEP. Intern positions typically last one semester or season, and are available year-round.
An internship at the JCGEP offers many unique and exciting opportunities to promote the use of renewable energy through craft studio operations, educational tours, research efforts, and interaction with other artists and professionals. Interns are needed in four primary areas:
Arts - glassblowing, metal work, pottery, or 2-D art
Agriculture – landscaping
Energy - efficiency improvements, equipment maintenance, system design, energy research
Program Administration - marketing, public liaison, funding, communications, event planning
Potential interns need to be open-minded and innovative, ready to learn, ready to try new things, and not shy about lending a hand. Interns will be expected to work together on group projects and special events, and interact with members of the public on a daily basis. Art interns will have a chance to take measured steps into the business end of art, working with professional artists, gallery owners, and the public. Other interns will focus on efforts to increase the overall effectiveness of the Green Energy Park, and improve the economic viability of our local community.
